What I found helpful in networking, researching, and reaching out through different communities of teachers. For sure all educator speaks the same language of compassion to teach their students. I chat or connect with teachers from around the world to learn different techniques to bring to the classroom. Teaching is about expanding your mind as well as your students mind. Connecting with other teachers from different backgrounds can give you a cutting edge if you truly want you children to thrive. Become pen pals with Teachers in this place with different backgrounds. Ideas will fly and success in the glasses will grow.

There are also lots of very helpful blogs for different areas of teaching. As an ESL teacher, I subscribe to several newsletters. Larry Ferlazzo (also on LinkedIn) shares a lot of useful resources and sites. They're worth checking out for insights but also for exercises, game suggestions, and more.

It's worth it to take a little while when you can to find out what other teachers in your field are doing. You can find great new resources and activities to save you planning time or add something fresh to your teaching. It's also a great morale booster to hear about others dealing with and overcoming the challenges that may seem just too much right now.
