In my experience, using analogies and examples, typically related with the audience's background can help them relate to the use case. One time, I remember using the analogy of water pipelines, water reservoirs, and taps to explain data pipelines, lakes, warehouses and consumption. Connecting the user to the problem statement using simple analogies is also an effective technique that I have seen in the past.

I like using real-world analogies which everyone can understand when I describe data architecture. The tree, trunk, roots & leaves serve as the platform, or the base, of the entire system. Currently, Veeva CRM sits on top of Salesforce CRM's platform. So in this case, Veeva CRM's platform is the tree trunk and Salesforce CRM's platform is the tree's roots. The tree's branches are Veeva CRM's Suite Packages (or groups of applications bundled under categorized software bundles) and the tree's leaves are Veeva's applications within each package. Just as the tree's leaves can change color with the seasons, fall off and grow back, so too can the applications be further configured to business requirements of the client company in the system.

The most straightforward way to help anybody learn anything is to relate it to something with which they are already familiar. This gives the student a framework on which to "hang" this new knowledge. Even when not teaching one another, we use analogies and examples to enhance our knowledge.

True, even the term "data management" might be confusing some audience. Start with simple business narrative and clarify how/what data is generated in a transaction and the importance of maintaining/using that data to achieve better business outcome. Then expand the business narrative by adding more complexities, we naturally encounter situations where data management becomes challenging. The inefficient data management leads to sub-optimal business outcome. Having a well-defined data architecture in place would have allowed the business to scale effectively and avoid such situations. A story in an evolutionary format would be the best strategy to keep the audience interested and convey the core concept.

i always like the interview questions as brainstorm session what business need and with small visualization can help business to understand well the use case and based on that you can get feedback that can be adapt.

Without feedback on our solution we are doomed to failure. To assume we can create a system or portion thereof without feedback is an unacceptable act of hubris. I also regard a feedback session in which nobody asks at least a clarification question as a failure, because I did not inspire them. We should have reviews with our integration leads, our solution architects, and our stakeholders to ensure we did not miss anything.

Inviting questions are a window into the level of understanding of the listener. As the expert on the topic, their questions will help us tailor the response to deepen their understanding where we would see gaps.
