(https://living-future.org/) Many tech companies and some universities are seeking certification under LBC both in the United States and Internationally. There is an old saying that says, "Begin with the end in mind." This could not be more true for construction projects. Designing a waste management plan as a part of your overall project allows there to be a built-in process for material recovery, recycling, and pollution prevention. However, it should be a part of the project's overall design and not a last-minute consideration.

Environmental impacts should also consider health impacts, not just carbon emissions, such as how the materials and products used in construction impacts human health. This can be accomplished with Health Product Declarations (HPDs) and Declare Labels.
