1 What is accuracy and reliability in AI?

AI generates vast amount of data to a meaningful information based on the truth of the source . The accuracy of the information provided can and should be evaluated and analyzed by humans, especially subject matter experts. This accuracy activity cannot be assigned to another ML program, humans cannot analyze the big volume of data so they can do spot checks or frequent interval checks to certify the accuracy of the data, if data seems to be accurate we can assume that the information is reliable

For example, if you have an AI system that can classify images into different categories, such as cats, dogs, or birds, you can use metrics such as precision, recall, or accuracy to evaluate how often the system correctly identifies the images. Precision measures how many of the images that the system labeled as cats are actually cats, recall measures how many of the actual cats are labeled as cats by the system, and accuracy measures how many of the images are correctly labeled by the system.

It's important to consider what the accuracy reflects. The key here is to focus on the context or task at hand, as much as the metric itself. For instance, a system that is intended to identify pet animals should not classify lions as "cats" or eagles and ostriches as "birds". There's a risk in measuring AI accuracy on data for general tasks and then deploying the AI system to perform a much more specific task that the system has not been properly measured against.

There's another trade-off to consider: what is the cost of coming up with a better evaluation of your system, vs. the cost (in terms of money, reputation, legal action, etc.) if and when the system fails. Ultimately, the system needs to be evaluated broadly, not just with tasks in mind, but also users, stakeholders, and other contextual factors.
