The key things are - Involve those who will be managing this in the decision making - Get their thoughts on the sustainability of the solution, expectations and other aspects - Understand the skill gap at the start and have a plan to address it (not all skill gaps may be addressed, creative solutions may need to be found) - Plan for the checkpoints during the implementation.
