It's important to value your team, and get to know them on an individual level. When you have real conversations with people beyond asking "how are you today", you create relationship. Speak a little more with each of your team members, grab a coffee with them, ask them what they did last weekend, and makes them feel valued so that they want to contribute ideas and projects to your company. Check on them regularly so they feel accountable for the actions they take and provide them support if they need. It's also important that you show the example, and that your team of directors do the same. People look at our behavior and they often behave similarly.

Having a clear vision is the roadmap to inciting interest in whatever the project is. Without one, the team will work at variances that could affect the project negatively.

It was difficult for me, very early in my business, to collaborate with colleages. I felt they would not articulate my vision as I wanted it ...and always ended up doing most of the work myself. Giving myself a thumbs-up for my ability to multi-task but that meant I got stressed up easily and this affected my ability to be resilient. Learning to delegate, collaborate and communicate my vision or project properly enabled excelle relationships - which reflected on expected profit margins.

You must not be lacking in integrity and accountability. Admiting when you are wrong goes a long way to build trust.

Empowering team members to do their tasks is a great way to encourage accountability,In my experience,I thought that micro managing was the way to go in getting results but I learnt to allow creativity,reward for good work, and a take charge attitude to be at the forefront of our company. I prefer to think about it the other way around. Startups need to hire people with responsibility and accountability from the get-go.
