TPM is a continuous improvement process. It will never end, getting started, Could be simple, but must be updated on a continuous basis. Anytime your equipment gives you any kind of issues your TPM process must change to make sure that these issues never happen again, using the 5 why process. Buy-in must come from the top of leader ship and work its way to the operator. Once operators understand TPM they take ownership of their equipment. A documented process made visual is to be followed at the beginning of each shift. This route should be walked by the operator and checked up daily by the area maintenance technician to ensure completion, upon completion a visual needs to be updated showing it’s been completed.
