How do you become a mechanical designer?

Ao meu ver, o início de uma educa??o como Projetista Mecanico, deve ser iniciada como Desenhista Técnico Mecanico, pois é a base da engenharia. Um curso de Desenhista dará uma base ampla no conhecimento de projetos e se for um curso à moda antiga, que aprende desenhando "na m?o" melhor ainda, depois os softwares CAD complementam o curso. Ao estar habituado com desenho, o segundo passo é o curso de projetista, mas a maior escola é a prática, o dia à dia, o "ch?o de fábrica". O curso de bacharel em engenharia, também é muito importante, porém seria interessante já se estar trabalhando na área, para ir colocando em prática o que vai aprendendo, mas a verdadeira forma??o ser?o os anos trabalhados na área, enfrentando os problemas e desafios

Os cursos de desenhos d?o a base, mas na pratica trabalhar na área que desenvolve o profissional, desde o conhecimento dos materiais e equipamentos para desenvolver as pe?as projetadas, isso só se aprende trabalhando e se aperfei?oando junto aos operadores que constroem.

I think you need to be a good engineer before you can be a good design engineer. What education doesn't give you is the understanding how things go together, how things are made and how decisions are made in production. This is the kind of experience, you can only get by paying your dues on the shop floor. In my opinion there are too many people transitioning straight from university to the drawing office and they don't have that base knowledge.

In 2012. I got two of my certificates for solidworks:CSWP and CSWA. before I got certificate for flowork analysis of solidworks from Solidexpert. All of them connected to my exact mechanical dedign skills. I also became member of champion program for solidworks and CATIA with Dassault system. They are great rewards for my 16 plus year professional hard work.
