First make list of dreams you would like to achieve. Dreams are without limit. Now you can focus top two dreams and start manifesting your dreams everyday few times. Now you can start making your goals with date and time for complete the goal. Now make a list of things your need to achieve your goals. Make a list of everything like money, team, investment, sales and marketing target etc. Now you need to make action plan to achieve your goal. Start Taking action and start marking in checklist.
Milestones can go from being goals to millstones around our necks if we don't see them as fluid. Macro and micro conditions can affect us all, our job is to roll with the punches. To set goals that terrify us and then push our entire team to stay consistent but remain fluid.
I’ve learned this from my amazing business coach Ron Szekely so I cannot take credit. But here is what we are doing: we created our vision and then translated it into a 1 year plan of what needs to happen to bring us closer to that vision. Then we break the 1 year plan into quarterly targets which then translates into weekly actions. Each has an accountability owner which ensures team buy in. To get the customer buy in? Money plus the ability to save and manage that well is for me a key growth milestone.

The best way I have ever found to get constructive and regular feedback from customers is by interviewing them and being able to record the sessions. It helps all departments to be constantly aware of the voice of the customer and not only of their technical challenges.
Your goals happen a lot easier when you pick the ones that make you warm and fuzzy inside. Never make a goal based on where you think you are "supposed" to be. Live leads you in mysterious ways - and you rarely know what's best or waiting for you next.
You don’t align your vision to any functional aspect of the organization! However you align every functional aspect of your organization including your growth milestones to the vision! For instance, Apple's vision statement is “to make the best products on earth, and to leave the world better than we found it.” You don’t align this to their sales milestones however you do the other way around!
