Talk, talk, talk is the answer. Never presume. Give the people you serve in your community a voice. That's how we started our charity. We opened the doors, & provided a free meal for people who were struggling. We ate with them & talked to them. As many of the people were struggling & really needed a meal, they were grateful & started to open up about their stories. They were very open & trusting, sometimes too open. This gave us a frame work for the services we started to organically provide to our community. 21 years later we are still adapting and evolving services to meet the needs of our every changing community. Where we are situation is one the most deprived wards of the town, in the top 1% according to the indices of deprivation.
