In the initial fund raise rounds try not to get into the valuation game. A priced round has its own set of expectations and if you start a fundraise process to secure money for the MVP then it really does not make sense to have any valuation in the term sheet. Instead look for iSafe / convertible notes which are a better bet. I have also seen a lot of startups do CCDs with a discount coupon woven in the agreement for future fund raises. This is also a good option but comes with a lot of compliances under the Companies Act, 2013 and requires a valuation report.
