Known discrepancies between the data in two systems that leads to errors and inefficiencies. The common standards, protocols, and formats to facilitate the exchange require complicated interface configuration per the differences in system architecture, programming languages, or database systems. Mutual agreement around how to address by thoroughly planning the integration process; providing adequate understanding amongst stakeholders, ensuring robust data mapping, and implementing clear data mapping measures with adequate support of all parties.
