Assessing research goals guides my journey. Before changing methods, understanding objectives is key. My research aims to contribute to knowledge and address vital questions for positive impact. I seek insights for real-world solutions and expanding understanding. Specific goals steer my work. They keep me on track, combining academia and practicality. I shape goals based on literature gaps. Linking to existing research is crucial. It builds on others' work, validates significance, and refines my approach. Recognizing challenges early helps me plan solutions and ensures strong findings. Assessing goals is like a foundation for a building. Methods align with objectives, enhancing impact and community contribution.

Research, whether academic(scholarly) or professional (business) has a goal. Stating the purpose of your study, objectives and the significance of your work will guide you Above all reading extensively to know the methods used previously by authors in your field is a plus

If the design of a study is not sound, then you can not trust the results, discussion, or conclusions. The main characteristics of adequate methodology are: (1) Validity - Make sure your technique enables you to measure what you intend to measure. (2) Reliability - This is your method's ability to measure consistently. (3) Reproducibility - This is the characteristic that enables an entire experiment to be duplicated.

The onion is always here, and there is where the neck is, adjustment may not be inhibited, but rather looking from an improvising perspective or even enhancement to the current research method to answer to new needs. Researchers are always on the look out for breakthrough methods to facilitate their research because the current set of research methods may have research definition is neither here or there to define those needs.
