How can you write copy that is unforgettable?

Others tell you to use stories. I say tell stories. You don't use stories - you tell stories instead. Using stories means creating them. But telling stories means finding them. Look around you. Everyone's using stories. Only a few are telling stories. Why? Because storytelling is misunderstood. Everyone thinks if they can create a story. They're good to go. But nah. You don't create story (unless fiction) instead you find story. And how do you do that? I can't explain in detail here - I've just about 63 characters left. So... When you make repetitions, your audience will likely repeat it often. That's how you build your identity.

How to write copy that's unforgettable? Write about things your target audience always remember ??. What's always on their minds? Yes, write about that.

Don't be redundant. Be synergistic. "She’s won an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy, a Golden Globe and a Tony. And this fall she’ll win your heart." (Tagline for Whoopi on Broadway) See how the repetition ties it all together here? Remember not to go overboard... Beat people with the same word over and over again and people will think you're a numbskull. (See what I did *over* there? ??)

Individuals are readily influenced. Learn from the most influential leaders. Analyze persuasive techniques. Explore antagonists in films. They understood this reality. Select a topic, such as ice cream. Repeat it until it irks Jessica. Achieve financial success.

Es gibt wirklich, WIRKLICH, viele M?glichkeiten, seine Texte unvergesslich zu machen. Aber eine Sache kann man daraus trotzdem lernen: Das w?re etwas, das garantiert niemand tut. Und genau das ist auch die Moral von der Geschicht. Sich ruhig trauen, man selbst zu sein. Auch mal frech, auch mal kantig und gerne auch lustig. Seid informativ. Aber immer auch unterhaltsam.

Aus eigener Erfahrung pr?gen sich unerwartete Wendungen gut ein und bleiben im Kopf. Ein überraschungsmoment, das den Leser catcht und zum Nachdenken anregt.

*Kaboooooom!!!!* Na? Aufmerksam geworden? Es gibt zahlreiche M?glichkeiten, Texte spannender zu gestalten. Lautmalerei ist eine davon. Sie unterbricht das Erwartete und catcht den Leser sofort. Humor und wirklich au?ergew?hnliche Vergleiche halten den Leser am Ball. Aus "schnell wie Speedy Gonzales" wird z.B. "geschwind wie ein Gepard im Chobe-Nationalpark". Leser wollen au?erdem nicht alles vorgekaut bekommen, sie wollen mitdenken, Schlüsse selbst ziehen k?nnen. Rhythmusgestaltung und Textdesign sind ebenfalls nicht zu verachten. Die M?glichkeiten sind unendlich. Wirklich.

Contrasta situaciones, tonos y narrativas para mantener a tus lectores en vilo, esperando la siguiente sorpresa. No nos andemos con rodeos. Usa comparaciones que sean claras como el agua. Si tu texto es una chispa en la oscuridad, haz que se note. Si es como un rayo de sol en un día nublado, que todos lo sientan.

Good vs Evil. It's the greatest narrative ever sold. Boring and overdone AF, yes. Still selling to the masses in cinemas near you, yes. It is so overused that it warps us into thinking everything is good or evil, yes. You've been brainwashed. So use it to brainwash others, too!

Emotion in writing is the 'words' Consider this, if you want to sell a Diet Coke, you would use words like 'zero sugar' - that is the pain point of your target audience. Another example could be 'your kids would love it' for a home made product, considering kids love packed foods. This way you're hitting right into the emotion of your TG with your words.

Using emotion in content is a sure way to get the reader to feel what you are trying to get across. The feel part is most important. Maya Angelou said it best! "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Use the PAS Formula The PAS formula is a proven way to structure a persuasive argument in your copy: Problem - What difficulty or pain point is your reader facing? Agitate - Make them feel the problem's negative effects. Solve - Show how your product elegantly and conveniently solves the problem. Back Up Claims with Social Proof Don't just make claims about how great your offer is. Back it up with testimonials, stats, and concrete examples. "Our customers report sleeping better within just 1 week of using our supplements. Here is what John from Seattle said: 'I used to lie awake at night for hours. Now I fall asleep in less than 30 minutes.'"

If you are selling a solution, the best hooks to use are avoiding pain (running away from bad) or the promise of success (running towards good). Most people prefer to avoid pain ie, lose money vs gaining pleasure ie, getting money as the experience of "losing" something creates a stronger fight or flight response than the pleasurable emotion. So keep that in mind when you sell with copy. Focus more on the possibility of pain "if you don't fix this" stronger than "you will get x if you fix it" in your messaging. And make sure the solution works!

To write great copy, you need to use hooks well. Hooks are things that grab and keep people's attention. From compelling headlines to intriguing openings, and from suspenseful cliffhangers to thought-provoking questions, hooks are the arsenal that makes content stick. Imagine opening with a bold statement that challenges conventional wisdom, or ending with a teaser that leaves readers yearning for more. The key lies in aligning these hooks with your unique voice and the message you wish to convey, ensuring they impact deeply with your audience. By weaving hooks throughout your copy, not just at the start or finish, you transform your writing into an engaging journey that's impossible to forget.

You've got to understand your audience. E.g. humour resonates differently across cultures/ age groups. An irreverent play on words might go down well with a younger audience but might be lost on a more traditional demographic. Emotion is good but even that should be calibrated; what moves one segment might be over-the-top to another. That's why you see some charity ads, for example, relying on evoking empathy by tugging at your heartstrings while others use stark, stats for a more analytical audience.

A great method for writing copy that is unforgettable is to include things that only the intended reader would expect to know (e.g., stories from their distant past, deeply personal opinions on obscure topics based on lived experience, etc). This may involve sourcing facts from a discarnate entity or other interdimensional object with the ability to peer inside the human mind so might take a little extra effort!

Ask yourself: What is their age, gender, and location? What are their interests, pain points, and goals? What tone and language do they best respond to? Tailor your copy to connect with your ideal reader at an emotional level. Speak their language. Address their needs. Craft a Magnetic Headline Your headline is the first thing people see. It has to stop them in their tracks and get them to read more. USE Power Words! Yes! It has the potential to make or break your copy. Power words are a list of words that evoke emotions from your readers. Example: Fear, Anger, Greed, Lust, Trust etc. This all will play with their psychology and make them take your Desired actions.
