How can you use Web3 technologies to build stronger online communities?

Using Web3 technology means you can now create communities that have bi-directional communication channels and therefore better engagement

First, let's explain Web3 in a simple way: IMAGINE the internet we use today is like a big amusement park, like Disney, or Samsung Everland. A few big companies like Google, Facebook, Elon Musk/X, own most of the rides & games. They decide who gets to play, how much they pay, and what rules to follow. Web3 is like a new amusement park where everyone owns a share. All rides and games are built and maintained by the people who use them, and everyone has a say in how things are run. Thus,groups can be created like on WhatsApp, but they can own part of the park together and form new companies or projects much faster. And token (let's call it cryptos) can be used as kind of salaries earned by persons or groups who create usefull stuff ??

IMM, based on what im seeing develop and pushed for mass adoption, #web3 is a marketing concept used to sell a more encompassing digital experience at the expense of digital/data sovereignty for the individual person. What does that mean? It means, look at the ToS being used by companies, startups, and firms focused on building "web3". The vast majority are just vapware sold to the public with positive talking points. When you look at the business models and the conditions put on users data/privacy, I wouldn't consider holding sovereignty over their data. Last point, look at what national and global regulatory bodies are doing reguard web3. They are focused on companies and countries digital sovereignty and not the people's.

web3 is the natural evolution of the internet we know and love today and uses the same inherent constructs and protocols with a few tweaks on top. What makes it different is that at it's core the user controls what happens with their identity online and the user controls how their data gets used. There are innumerable ways that we can leverage web3 to improve how we interact with one another online. At the core, web3 allows developers to build more intuitive sites and experiences, that are inherently more valuable to the end user.

Web3.0 is going to be a revolutionary change to the Internet through decentralization. Fintech and smart contracts, as well as using API’s and blockchain technology will be commonplace and built into the infrastructure of web3.0. It will also bring about the full digitalization of information and the addition of AI will create a new Internet with boundless opportunity for future technological innovation and enhancements.

While creating a community it should be noted that you should be able to proved value and trust to the people in the community. That is what it is going to keep the community grow and stable. It will be great that you are having an online presence and you have day to day communication with your group of people.

Some of the methods being use to build a Web3 community are active interaction. Much of the technology is still a mystery to most internet users, however their interests are still valuable. Developers can cater to the users interests and innovate solutions. Some of the examples of this are found in Social Media and Gaming. Developers incentives guide the users through the realm of their Web3 platform. Topics like token economics are one of best forms of discussion that take place in the Social Media tethered to a particular platform creating a feedback loop. Moderators then can siphon off useful comments and suggestions that indicate a community interest or desire that will generate an added value to the community.

Building a Web3 community involves technical and fundamental aspects. You can start simply with a Discord server and social media, or go further by launching a member token and forming a DAO. Fundamentally, identify your community's core: is it a social hub for relaxed networking, or a focused group for collaborative projects? The main challenge is constructing a Web3 community that effectively marries its purpose with Web3's unique tech.

Being active on social media platforms, online networking, and engaging in hackathons and events play important roles in connecting with the Web3 communities. Actively engaging in discussions on platforms like Discord, Telegram, or dedicated forums is crucial for networking and staying updated on the latest developments in the field. Exploring DAOs, and contributing to open-source projects within the community can provide opportunities.

Determine your interests and start exploring on social media, focusing on critical thinkers over hype (unless hype's your thing, of course). Are you drawn to DeFi, or more into digital art? Consider a DeFi DAO like CRV, or an NFT community like BAYC or Pudgy Penguins. Understanding the technology in your way helps clarify your path. For me, the appeal is being part of a groundbreaking technology. Web3 decentralizes power from big entities to users.
