How to use VR for feedback
To use VR for feedback, you need to have a VR-ready model of your design, a VR headset, and a software platform that allows you to share and interact with your model. There are different software options available, depending on your needs and preferences. Some examples are:
- Enscape : a plugin for SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, and ArchiCAD that lets you create and export VR scenes from your models.
- Sketchfab : a web-based platform that lets you upload and view 3D models in VR, and embed them on your website or social media.
- The Wild : a cloud-based platform that lets you collaborate and communicate with your team and clients in VR, and integrate with other tools like Revit, SketchUp, and BIM 360.
Once you have your VR model and software ready, you can invite your feedback providers to join you in VR, either in-person or online. You can then walk them through your design, explain your concepts, and ask them questions. You can also use VR tools to annotate, sketch, or modify your design on the fly, and to record or export your feedback.
