You can have a great marketing campaign, you can be doing videos on YouTube or become an "influencer" on TIK TOK, and have a few thousand people "following" you on Facebook. None of that will improve your photography. The very question (thank you AI) is silly. If your work is crap it doesn't matter how many people you reach, your work will still be crap.

In my opinion, an inexpensive way is to create a portfolio on social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, etc. You can optimize and share your best images according to the standards of each network. Today, using hashtags related to photo style helps the audience to find your work. Remember to have a short and catchy caption for each photo.

Gary V. said "don't create, document." Share your BTS (behind the scene) that shows your setup - lighting, background, props, etc. These are just as (if not more) interesting as the final product. Also, this may help start conversations as people would ask you about the setups and gears. Even though we all know that it's all about the man (or the woman) behind the camera and not the camera itself, I admit that I'm a gear nerd who suffers from GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) like most of y'all. So share your setup, spark conversations and engagement!

The experience I had was that I searched and examined social networks and sites where photographers can share their images. It helped me understand what the style and technique of the day are and how I can apply them in my work.

You can learn a lot from others on social media. Follow other photographers and look for inspiration to feed your creativity. We can all learn from each other and look out for techniques and processes from our peers.

Depending on your Niche and target audience, this determines the social media for you to use. Example, if you have a young audience, TikTok would be the best platform to use as most young people are in TikTok. Another example is Facebook which has older audience ( age 30 and above) . It would work for you if your target audience is above 30 years old
