I have used role-play scenarios many times in my line of work to supplement coaching and training sessions. Take one associate that pretends to be the customer. Take another associate that pretends to be the person addressing their customer concern. You can supervise or record the session, or do quality assurance later on to see what they have learned and to what extent they have improved.
