How can you use restructuring strategy and vision alignment to stand out?

As someone who restructured many companies/departments during their growth, I want to say that there is one very important thing to consider. People don't always like changes. Your colleagues will not be happy with your modifications, they may even try to sabotage your efforts. The best way to help it is to stay transparent and consistent. Explain, don't order. And once you have the understanding of people involved don't back up.

Education systems constantly experience change. And with change, there's a need for restructuring. Because schools are systems inside bigger systems significant changes to operations, overall goals, and leadership - be it at school through to political levels, are required. That's where a restructuring strategy is needed and its why I advocate and advise leaders on 1yr rolling strategies. It makes sense. It's measurable and so much easier to communicate with stakeholders.

Vision Alignment in education settings is the action of creating pathways and performance measures for achieving your goals. When everyone is on board everyone benefits. When some people are inactive, and its more common than not, its much easier to align change projects for rectification and prevention rather than constantly setting the bar too high. It's all about first principles - a process I use with educational leaders.
