From the employer point of view, performance management and not the performance evaluation should be taken into account when it comes to a raise or a promotion or a demotion. Targets should be set beforehand thorough an agreement with the employee and the team leader should coach the employee during the evaluation period. It is fair to give the employee necessary tools and equipment to fulfil his/her tasks and give them feedback and even better feedforward just on time. If done so, after the period and after reviewing the process, performance management can be used for an action plan. From the employee point of view, the result of the performance management should show the progress and effort of the employee with conditions mentioned above.
