Lateral thinking is the opposite of linear / logical thinking. So the first step in using it to shake up your storytelling is to get rid of all those logical assumptions you hold. And I don't care how creative you are, you *do* hold at least some. We all do. Consider your starting point, and question everything. You think you know your target audience, or the market, or which value props resonate? Analyze all of it and locate areas where you may be able to uncover some cracks.
