However, the tool should offer capabilities to support the team; for virtual teams for example, we expect a web-based tool supporting different time zones and available across different continents.

JIRA permite la gestion dinámica de los proyectos, lo que hoy es el flujo actual, puede evolucionar en funcion de la madurez del equipo, los procesos involucrados, etc... La virtualidad de los equipos nos "obliga" a utilizar este tipo de herramientas, ya que artefactos como paneles físicos, post-it, etc que en entornos presenciales podrína sustituirlos no tienen sentido. De cualquier modo la potencia de las herramientas de gestión del proyecto como JIRA no son comparables a otro tipo de actividades que deberían tomarse unicamente como "soporte" y dinamización de los equipos.

En los proyectos de un tama?o determinado uno de los aspectos más importantes es el seguimiento y la presentacion de los resultados. Ahora es cuando JIRA nos da otra muestra de su potencia permitiendo el seguimiento de KPI′s, integrandose con herramientas de visualizacion de datos como PowerBi, y ayudando a tener una forma sencilla y asíncrona de informar del estado del proyecto, sin perder valioso tiempo en rellenar datos en otros entornos.
