In addition, ESG professionals can't be expected to know everything - it is too much. Instead, build a small network of trusted advisors and sources that cover different areas/topics whom you can call on for guidance/updates on specific matters, especially those that are lower down the priority list.

To maintain a high level of ESG trends knowledge, it is recommended to scrutinize newspapers, whether they be generalists or ESG-specialists, read research papers, access to ESG market data, deepdive into companies' ESG reports, attend conferences & events, join dedicated professional groups or talk to subject-matter experts.

The space is moving so fast and the amount of information can be overwhelming. I'd recommend focus and simplicity, since we cannot track every development across all topics.
