I think a better way to think about culture is culture diversity than fit. I have come to realize that if one is asked to fit in a culture than one diminishes the value of their uniqueness. An algorithm that aligns with your drivers in personal and professional spectrum would be a better marker.

The mission and values of a company are also very significant. From the mission, you can see where the firm is headed and what its destinations are. From the values, you can see how the company treats its employees, business partners, and investors. These two indicators, I believe, can establish whether or not the organisation is a great company with a wonderful mission. or if it is worthwhile to participate.

While you can search on the Internet and analyze the reviews that people are writing about a company to get a feeling about the work culture in a company; Usually a lot of details are not mentioned and you won't find it online. People usually do not talk about their bad experience, out of fear of retaliation and/or jeopardizing their next job offer, to just name a few reasons. In my experience, the best way is to either talk to a trusted friend that has worked or is working in the company; Also do remember that, in big companies, culture might be completely different from one team to another; even if these two teams are within the same department.
