How can you use advertising strategies to achieve your objectives?

In my experience, this is also referred to as finding your niche. What are you going to market? Why did you choose this product, service, or business to advertise for. What platforms will you use to market ? What analytics program or app will be the best to determine what marketing campaign works best and attains most followers, subscribers, and engagements? If you want to increase the traffic to your site, then I would research what kind of videos and content are getting the most attention. Also what kind of demographic is your product, service, or business viewed and/or searched by. You can then use the analytics on whatever platform to show you what is working and what is not.

1. Target Audience: Identify and understand your target audience. 2. Storytelling: Craft a compelling narrative around your product or brand. Emotionally engaging stories make ads more memorable. 3. Visual Appeal: Use striking visuals and high-quality graphics. Visual content often has a greater impact than text alone. 4. Retargeting: Re-engage users who've shown interest in your product but didn’t convert by showing them relevant ads again. 5. Test and Optimize: Regularly analyze ad performance. Use A/B testing to find the most effective campaigns. 6. Social Proof: Showcase testimonials, reviews, or endorsements. Trust signals rocks! 7. Multi-channel Approach: Don’t rely on just one platform. Use a mix of digital channels.

As a Digital marketer for more than a decade now and handling giants like Mercedes-Benz, P&G, Mars International, Disney, D-link, LIC, State Bank of India as some of my clients I have always seen a few things that always worked for me A) creating the BIG idea that is platform agnostic, B) The Hook- what will make your TG really bother of your ad C) That brings me to story telling D) Define and refine your TG properly E) Go Multichannel to diversify your reach. More than these NEVER shift from your objective during this period when your Ad is running. It might sound stupid but I have experienced many clients shift their objectives abruptly even during the Ad period and do not let them run for a period of time and want results too soon.

It has become glaringly obvious that the bricks and mortar, "we'll just hang our open sign and they will come" days are now in the rearview mirror. The small to mid size businesses which are having the most success have fine tuned their branding, demonstated good social media habits and present a product that won't let you down. We need to possess the 3 C's while steering our business in a forward direction. Consideration, Clarity and Consistency. We need to consider who we are serving, what they value and how we can help them. We also need to have a clear and concise process of how we can deliver on our offerings and then we need to maintain a consistent level of service.

I agree with the perspective, however I feel not all months are the same are they! Even if the expected growth per quarter is 10-20%, atleast in a country like India, there are specific months where buying happens (no denying the trend is changing) or for instance a calamity like we all faced from 2020 onwards, the plans of being time-bound or measureable does go haywire isn’t it! Also I feel defining objective is more relevant when you are an established firm and the advertising focus is primarily on digital, this becomes a bit challenging for a local retail outlets who are only in the brick & mortar format Having said, defining objective does give a vision on the way-forward of one’s business & marketing

I believe the best way to do this is to first find out through similar business, product, and service campaigns, to learn who your target audience will be, and then how you can creatively market it to audiences with other examples of how their specific demographic can also benefit from the service, business, or product as well. Use different platforms for different groups, and once again check analytics on all content. Google also has a program to do this. Your marketing campaigns will look different considering which age or location group you are trying to reach!

Definitely the consumer analysis is the core of the strategy. If you work in a media agency it is almost sure that you will have access to platforms such as Euromonitor, to understand market trends and statistics or TGI, to build targets with certain interests and demographics. TGI will help you to gather data in terms of interests, passion points, pain points, platforms and even brands or media channels. These information will help you to build a buyer persona and the consumer journey for your brand, based on data. On the other hand, first party data can also be very helpful to have a better consumer understanding. First party data is of much more value for your company because it is your real consumer data.

Let's not undervalue the power of social media! We could use it to gain insights into the demographics and interests of our followers and engaged audiences. Then once we've identified our target market, continuous testing is key. Be open to adjusting your approach as you gain more data and insights.

One thing I’ve found super helpful here is really studying and researching the angle , interest , and voice of your targeted demographic. This has to be done very throughly and for a specifically fixed timeframe. You want to speak to their desires and project reassurance that their already channeled and developed intrigue is well invested and in the right direction by going with your organization, company , or product. I would overview similar counterparts via companies, businesses, or items as well and how they may have reeled in your similar market but from a certain aspect that you could enhance clarity and quality on per say.

Here's a secret strategy: "Leverage Micro-Moments." In the fast-paced world of e-commerce, success often hinges on identifying and capitalizing on micro-moments—those brief instances when customers turn to their devices for quick answers or solutions. By understanding the specific micro-moments your audience experiences, such as "I want to know," "I want to go," "I want to buy," or "I want to do," you can tailor your advertising content and delivery to be ultra-relevant and timely, effectively capturing your audience's attention and driving conversions in these critical moments, giving you a competitive edge in the e-commerce arena.

I totally agree, however I feel ROI is a very subjective term. By that I mean, if you are launching a product and basis the research the audience has accepted a product which is similar to yours, unless the new product has something great to offer like price or better quality or more quantity etc, it can be quite challenging to take away the loyalty Nevertheless, yes it is important to choose the channels carefully to avoid a huge dent with zero returns

I have already touched on this a bit previously, but certain platforms cater to certain age groups, and certain locations will have to have different marketing geared towards their needs in that area. The same goes for different ages. But it would be best to post content across all social media platforms and research what is being engaged and followed most at the current time on each, then create content based on that.

There is alot to learn from using paid advertising platforms on LinkedIn and Google Ads. Depending what your business is set-up for ( i.e B-C or B-B ), it will effective your objectives of the online ads that you choose. Make sure, that you set up conversions through Google Analytics if you are wanting to measure results beyond what LinkedIn provides, especially if you are building Brand Awareness campaigns. If you can measure the success of your marketing efforts directly to sales, it is the next best thing.

One strategy I've found valuable is an omnichannel approach, where you integrate multiple channels to create a seamless brand experience. For example, using social media to drive traffic to a personalized email campaign can be highly effective. Moreover, monitoring and analyzing data from each channel is essential. It helps you fine-tune your strategies and allocate resources where they generate the highest return on investment. Remember, the advertising landscape is dynamic, so regularly reassessing your channel mix is key to staying competitive and achieving your goals

Become part of a group with similar products, services, and businesses. Reach out and see where they have been most successful. Also you can check the platforms analytical data for different interests and most seemed out videos or content at that time. Becoming part of a Facebook, Instagram, Tik tok, or reddit group with your target audience and post some different content and designs, you can then check analytics and see who clicked on what most. And seek advice from content producers that have huge followers and look at their platforms to see what worked for them. Also you can find answers with a brand group or invest in a course that will have a community that you can test out marketing content with.

I know when advertising one will want to say so much to try and get the audience to understand why they should use these products/services. I have however realized it is not the number of words but rather the choice of words that makes the difference! The truth is, you cannot communicate everything you wish you could in an advert. The best way is to ask yourself what is the main main main thing you want to communicate! Find the most compelling words that can communicate that and then build in a testimony of a satisfied client or figures regarding usage of your product and services by others.

Certainly, crafting an effective advertising message and creative elements is a true art form in the advertising world. Imagine you're promoting a new mobile app for stress relief and relaxation, humorously called "ZenMasters." Your message should tickle the funny bone while conveying the app's calming benefits: "Stressed spelled backward is desserts. Coincidence? We think not! Relax with ZenMasters." Now, for the creative elements, picture a series of comical animations showing stressed-out characters trying absurd stress-relief methods. But here's the secret sauce: Before launching your campaign, test it with a sample of your audience. Gather feedback on whether the message resonates and if the creative elements effectively engage.

Metrics - the backstage pass to your campaign's success. We're talking impressions, clicks, conversions, and the fascinating world of cost per action. It's like counting the laughs in a stand-up comedy show, but instead, you're counting engagements. Here's where the humor comes in: Your campaign should be more entertaining than a surprise comedy show. If your ads are flopping like a fish out of water, it's time for a plot twist. Remember, in advertising, you're not just testing punchlines; you're experimenting with variables like message, channel, frequency, and timing. It's like trying out different joke setups. So, keep the humor in your content, and the metrics in your sights, and you'll be on the way to advertising stardom!

This goes back to finding an app or program that can analyze the data for you and organize into charts, or by learning about funnel systems. Tik tok and Instagram have analytics that can be viewed as well as Google. I am currently researching apps that can analyze content across the board comparing them all and making it much easier to identify any changes that need to be made. I am also going to be sharing a you tube channel where I do a video blog about what I am learning and how I have applied to my own journey and the results. I want to do this to hopefully teach others through what I heavily researched and learned so I can save them the time. I will probably market it in a course that will promise results by a specific time once done.
