In my opinion, hybrid work enhances work-life balance, reduces stress and gives a positive boost to the productivity. From an organisation perspective, a flexible working approach attracts and retains top talent, while also potentially saving costs for both employees and employers. It can also ensure business continuity during any sort of disruptions and provides geographic flexibility and ability to cover different time zones to tap into a global talent pool. Most importantly, it prioritizes employee well-being and adapts to the ever-changing business landscape, making it a key strategy for success in today's world!

Plain and simple - always be learning. Be willing to grow and learn new skills. Be willing to seek out honest feedback and create action plans to develop. Know your weaknesses and seek out opportunities to upskill in those areas. When leaders become stagnant that's when their management truly suffers.

This is never a one size fits all, and every team member needs to be manged differently, some will need extra support others will be happy just to report in progress. Yes at times it can be like playing Wack-a-Mole however be the the team leader the team need you to be.

Continuous team management development/learning in my opinion isn’t always related to “the work you do” it’s learning the people. You can manage teams more effectively through learning them. 1. Collaboration that fosters conversation. 2. Team building activities away from the office. If members of the team are willing, 3. personality assessments that focus on working preferences. Learning by doing is a great way to develop, having meetings away from a desk can be beneficial however sitting side by side and working through things is always a better option team members can see you are still in touch.

Leveraging technology, especially those tools that are already accessible and available to a team, can be a highly effective way to implement operational efficiencies that improve collaboration and communication between team members and stakeholders. As part of a growing team, we ran into issues with a set of spreadsheets that were stored in a share drive. Switching to a synchronous tool, for us it was SmartSheets, prevented duplicate file versions. We also created reports and dashboards. This saved us hours of work each month and gave stakeholders instant access to critical information. Leveraging the technical tools already available within an organization can elevate your team management skills to a new level at little to no cost.

Growing up, I was not a good student. I never really understood the power of a good education and took it for granted. Looking back, I put my parents through a lot. I didnt realize how important education is until college when I started paying for my own education. My grades did start to improve and I realized I enjoyed learning. I started taking all kinds of classes and eventually pursued a Masters and then a Doctorate. I am currently taking a PMP course. I feel that we must be life long leaners to adapt to this ever-changing world. We must also excercise our knowelge to ensure our understanding. I do so by volunteering and passing on those leadership skills and experiences to others.

Remember seek first to understand, then to be understood. Start by listening and empathizing with your team's needs.
