The advice to enable a random port for the data connection looks funny. Here it is required to use a firewall with a FTP session helper which monitors the communication and enables the dynamic port. Normally there is a range defined for the dynamic ports. Here again, we can see the cons of this old protocol. It would be better to replace by SFTP.
