As mentioned, AR and VR can do great things for a live event, including a live digital event. AR can be present at many touchpoints in your event, as long as you do it right and take into consideration the right questions. Your live event could be anything from a corporate event, all the way to a concert or live performance - they all hold tremendous opportunities for AR placements, but you have to consider your target audience, the level of techno-capacity of said audience, socio-economic level (to leverage the range of devices they'll be using), placement (is it GPS or from a QR link?) and above all, what are you trying to achieve? and what does the user take with them afterwards besides a cool experience?

A lot of events today are either hybrid events (live in person event + streaming event) or live streaming events. In any case, be wary of "zoom fatigue" and figure out ways to make your event interact with your viewers in real time. Live polls, quizzes, reaction channels or engaging in social actions are a great way to keep viewers locked-in while generating data points for you to work with afterwards. Choose a provider that has the capacity to engage with users beyond just streaming content.
