1 Identify potential risks and scenarios

Concierge team of any hotel is the lowest level team which needs to react in emergency situations whether it is connected with personal / individual emergency or property related emergency. Most of the SOPS( standard operating systems) specify the reporting of the emergency to the duty manager of the hotel and act according to the instructions of the duty manager Concierge team shall be familiar in Obtaining information from relevant sources and local contact numbers which can help during emergencies. The team shall also shall be trained to provide first aid and help to elevator trapped guests.Concierge need not consult security experts or insurance consultants.

De acuerdo a mi experiencia se debe de capacitar y entrenar principalmente al personal que esta al frente de las operaciones hoteleras, ya que son las primeras personas que van a tomar las decisiones adecuadas para los huéspedes y hotel. Existen muchos riesgos los cuales pueden ser; Naturales, de emergencia, robos los cuales todos tiene una activación diferente, y ahí es dónde comienza la regla de oro, seguir los procesos y procedimientos del protocolo a seguir. Tomar con mucha calma el suceso para no asustar y/o desesperar a los huéspedes y compa?eros de trabajo.

Sin duda dentro de los procedimientos y procesos tenemos jerarquías, las cuales están compuestas por brigadas, así como el departamento de seguridad el cual debe de estar entrenado para tener los canales de comunicación adecuados. La administración debe de tener protegido la documentación màs importante de finanzas, seguros, riesgos, documentos legales, bastante protegidos a la hora de un siniestro. Cada brigadista tiene su responsabilidad clara y precisa, con sus protocolos establecidos, con previos entrenamientos documentados. El director de seguridad llevara la batuta de cualquier epicentro con las brigadas, donde tendrán que usar radios trasmisores para la fluidez de la operación. Los manuales de capacitación serán la gratina

En mi experiencia hacemos 4 simulacros al a?o, esto nos va hacer mucho màs eficientes para cuando tengamos un epicentro real. Realmente hacemos escenarios de; personal herido, perdido, quemados y cualquier otra situación para probar y garantizar la capacidad de las brigadas. En estas capacitaciones involucramos a las; brigadas, personal de seguridad, guest service, concierge y front. así como también invitamos a los entes encargados de revisar el simulacro como Protección civil, donde involucramos a los colaboradores de turno y a los huéspedes. Hacemos una reunión de gabinete previa al simulacro en el cual se lleva un control de tiempo y de reacción a los accidentes nombrados arriba.

En nuestros hoteles tenemos Psicólogos que nos ayudan a realizar las activadas del post evento, el cual no es muy bueno por que varias personas pueden quedar muy estresadas. Se hace una retroalimentación para saber como esta cada una de los huéspedes y colaboradores para saber su estado emocional. Recolectamos todos los comentarios posibles negativos y positivos para saber como actuamos, y poder mejorar para un futuro.

De acuerdo a mi experiencia siempre debemos de avisar a todos los huéspedes y colaboradores de lo que se viene, ya que hoy en día podemos pronosticar las luvias, huracanes y etc. Teniendo estas herramientas podemos tomas todas las precauciones para nuestros huéspedes y colaboradores comunicando de la mejor manera y con mucha empatía, dando a conocer la situación sin mentiras. Una vez que haya pasado la situación se debe de expresar y preguntar como están y si hubo da?os, para ofrecer como compensar eso si fuese el caso. Haciendo este ejercicio garantizamos huéspedes y colaboradores satisfechos.
