En mi día a día, manejo procesos que permiten entregar resultado en cada KPI. Aunque no lo creamos. La administración y contabilidad forman parte de esa monetizacion que necesita cada kpi. Por ende, son necesarios para entregar resultados y pronosticar el futuro. Desde un presupuesto hasta la realización de cada proceso. Por ejemplo la maquinaria y equipo forman parte de los Capex o activo fijos. Se registran depreciaciones y vidas útiles. Por lo que enlacer varios KPI para optimizar y controlar procesos seria lo ideal. Los gráficos, tablas y suposiciones ayudan a medirlos en conjunto.

In general, those in management positions tend to leave the responsibility for the use and maintenance of equipment and machinery to those in charge of Maintenance and Repairs. The delimitation of time and coverage of customer needs will be the main factors to take into account to design a scheme of "markers" of performance of equipment and machinery. From there, the rest of the indicators and value tolerances that must be complied with are cascaded.

I agree with all the above, also one import thing is to stay dynamic and innovative towards choosing your KPIs. I believe at a point you would have to revise your KPIs especially for the start up companies based on the vision and goals of the company. Again, keep record of your KPIs and measure against the previous data to understand which KPI is working for you.
