I agree with the goals being defined, and would add that understanding your audience is key because each discipline has specific areas of expertise to apply towards greater sustainability, beyond simply understanding sustainability is the ‘right thing to do’. For example, engineers bring expertise in building systems, architects & designers in materials and resilience in building envelopes, financial modeling can show ROI and use of incentives and entitlements, and policy-makers can help unpack legislation such as the Inflation Reduction Act measures.
