It's important to understand attributes of your team member; their backgrounds, cultural values, what makes them tick, what conditions are optimum for each person's best performance. This knowledge helps you to tailor your approach to getting the best out of them.

One thing I have observed is that motivation plays a key role in driving employees towards achieving individual goals and aspirations, but everyone isn't motivated by the same factors due to unique characteristics that influence their motivation levels. As managers, we need to tailor motivation techniques to accommodate individual differences which resonate at a personal level, ultimately enhance motivation and increase chances of success. Some employees being visual learners use visual elements to enhance engagement; others as auditory learners use motivational audios, podcasts to boost motivation; the remaining could be kinesthetic learners using hands-on experiences like role plays or practical tasks to enhance motivation.

Once you know their personality types, you can create a motivational approach to their unique traits, ensuring each person feels understood and valued.

Remember to involve Guardians in decision-making processes, as their input can be invaluable, making them feel more invested and appreciated in their roles.

Also, celebrate their successes and provide mentorship that aligns with their values and aspirations, as this nurtures their sense of purpose and growth.
