How can you showcase your creativity in a pitch?

Be confident and assertive to showcase your creativity during a pitch or presentation. Don't let the fear of rejection or resistance from those who lack creativity hold you back. For a successful pitch, establish a robust foundation for your thought process. Then, build your case and decide whether to present your most unconventional or conservative approach first. It's best to lead with your most creative approach. If your audience loves it, there's no need for any further discussion, and you can lock in your winning idea. However, if they seem nervous or hesitant, you can show them more conservative approaches to alleviate their concerns. Once they start thinking about your ideas, they may change their minds and make a U-turn.

You can understand the audience and the best ways are to use some quotes, success story and how you add value to your clients through personlaised touch. It can be an amalagation of some nice humor or witty lines that makes your audience to listen more to you.

Trying to remember that its "not about you" but about the audience. Therefore, everything you say, do, show and promote should be directed at solving the needs of the specific audience. Remember, you were asked to give the speech because you are perceived at an expert, so research the key values of the specific audience and address them.

Use numbers and figures, they have a physiological impact and help in delivering your points. If you can, use visuals to represent your pitch, but keep them simple and on-brand. Practice when you can, I find it refreshing to present my pitch to a friend or someone.

All creatives should be creative. Good ideas are our currency. Insight will underpin a good idea and make it great. Explore the problem you are solving. Go beyond the brief. Demonstrate that you know this audience. Discuss what keeps them awake at night. Find out what they don't know. And show how your creative recognises and addresses all of these things. Years ago we pitched for a GP prescribed acne product. At the time acne wasn't taken that seriously as a health issue. We demonstrated the effect on the mental health of the patient. We showed how taking the problem seriously paid dividends. And we made the GP think beyond a bacterial soap. The creative was emotive and empathic. The ideas won the business.

I read four newspapers every morning. I often find anecdotes, cartoons and items to post to LinkedIn. The stories I find often relate to literacy, which is a key component of the newspaper feature I represent, Kid Scoop. Before I call somebody I may ping them with my latest Linked post. I usually include a message that pertains to the post and then I add a little humor like, “Is that your phone ringing?” At the end of the day, you want to impart some knowledge that reinforces what you are selling and have fun in the process.

Stories are a wonderful way to connect and the more its based on simple language so that everyone understands it and connects with your story and can imagine or visualise what you are trying to convey would pave the way to another level for you. Emotions play a very important role in conveying the right message with actions. Take care, dont go overboard with emotions or create a negative mark.

Stories are a great way to differentiate your product/service. But be careful not to turn the pitch into a storytelling session, streamline your story to communicate and present your pitch, such as origin/motivation to direction/ selling point

Use props, your company brochures, illustrations or even your mobile to display your creativity. Right mix of colors, fonts and images open up a persons mind and let your audience visualise once the graphics are shown.

It depends on the pitch content, but in general, as long as I show how I can solve a problem differently and think outside the box, it will bring a creative spark to any project. Also enhancing unique vision by using unconventional media, tone, or minimalist imagery that tells a compelling story in a single image.

Being original simply means to not sound like a rehearsed robot pitch, I have seen someone represent an idea and nail it. It all comes down to playing to your strengths, using a little humor, keeping it short and on brand. Your creativity may not shine because of the unique product/service but how you showcase/sell it.

I always rehearse my pitch 3 times. The first time is to get a feel for the content & to see where I get tripped up by trying to be too clever or too detailed. The second is to identify any slides I'm not comfortable with. The third time is in front of someone else. I used to practice more but the feedback was that came across as too 'slick', which can be as off putting as too much 'umm'ing' and 'err'ing'... The trick is to be yourself. Discover your style. Be adaptable. Be enthusiastic. I always tell my audience to chirp up if they want say something during my presentations. If you know your presentation well enough it won't distract and it can lead to some great 'bonding' moments. And enjoy the process. This is your show.

Practice when you can, I find it refreshing to present my pitch to a friend or someone. Or you can just do it with an active imagination of the people to present to, 2-3 times should fine-tune you, and a quick session before the pitch helps too

a simple crafted story of your creative weaved with emotions, thoughts and supporting graphics or animations will open up curiousity in your audience. Easy to navigate visuals or easy to understand visuals with photos, graphics, colors and fonts balance your creatives. One more thing, while designing, use white space which is very important. Don't overdo in terms of colors, use 2-3 colors, use 1-2 fonts, play with size of fonts, mix and match of images and right use of white space to balance your creatives will help.

I was just reading about one of the authors..She said I am so thankful for opening your hearts for me in your internal world..It struck me..that Being realistic,using simple yet powerful words with emotions allows the connect & creativity..Creativity is a blend of simple artistic words..not jargons...
