1 What is the ICE method?

The ICE method is a simple framework that helps you score and rank your user scenarios based on three criteria: Impact, Confidence, and Ease. Impact measures how much value your user scenario will create for your users and your business. Confidence reflects how certain you are that your user scenario will have the desired impact. Ease indicates how easy or difficult it will be to implement and test your user scenario. By assigning a numerical score to each criterion, you can calculate the ICE score for each user scenario and compare them to see which ones deserve more attention.

Me parece correcto hacer correctamente la distinción entre Esfuerzo y Facilidad ya que para el cálculo ICE no darán los mismos resultados. Si hablamos de Facilidad, es correcto multiplicar las tres variables: - Impacto x Confianza x Facilidad / 10, con un rango de 0,1 a 100 Sin embargo, si hablamos de esfuerzo, se debe dividir el resultado: - Impacto x Confianza / Esfuerzo, con un rango de 0,1 a 10 (se podría multiplicar por 10 para que el rango sea entre 1 a 100).

2 How to apply the ICE method?

To apply the ICE method, you must first define your user scenarios using personas, user journeys, or user stories. For each scenario, it is necessary to estimate the impact, confidence, and ease on a scale of 1 to 10. This can be done through your own judgment, data, research, or feedback. Involving your team or stakeholders can also provide different perspectives and opinions.
