Inquiry-based learning (IBL) is a pedagogical approach that encourages students to explore, question, and investigate topics of interest, rather than relying on direct instruction and memorization. 1 Know the basics

Before you go to the interview, make sure you have a clear understanding of what IBL is, and how it differs from other forms of teaching and learning. You should be able to define IBL, describe its main features and benefits, and give some examples of IBL models or frameworks. For instance, you could mention the 5E model (engage, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate), the BSCS model (invitation, exploration, concept invention, application, reflection), or the PBL model (problem-based learning). You should also be familiar with the research and evidence that supports IBL, and how it aligns with the curriculum standards and learning outcomes.

2 Showcase your experience

One of the best ways to demonstrate your competence and confidence in IBL is to share your own experience and examples of using it in your teaching practice. You could prepare a portfolio or a presentation that showcases some of the IBL projects or activities that you have designed or facilitated, and explain how they addressed the learning objectives, engaged the students, and assessed the outcomes. You could also highlight how you incorporated different tools and resources, such as technology, inquiry kits, manipulatives, or field trips, to enhance the IBL experience. Be prepared to answer questions about the challenges and successes of your IBL implementation, and how you adapted or improved your approach based on feedback and reflection.

In particular, stories from my diverse international experiences provide students with a fresh cultural shock and interest and passion for learning. It became a good motif to remind us. 3 Be creative and flexible

Another way to impress your interviewer is to show your creativity and flexibility in designing and delivering IBL. You could brainstorm some ideas for IBL lessons or units that are relevant to the subject, grade level, or context that you are applying for, and explain how you would plan, execute, and evaluate them. In global Pre-College Programs, I have developed a student-centered program that eliminates age categories and allows all K-12 students to work together, and has been running it for 15 years now. As a result, through cooperative learning with students of different ages, students felt a different sense of challenge, and their problem-solving skills and learning motivation became stronger. In particular, attempts at such programs in education where creativity is emphasized resulted in very high levels of student satisfaction and achievement. Therefore, in a K-12 education interview, presenting an activity or project that allows students to think critically and creatively to find a solution will be an effective interview.

Finally, don't forget to ask questions about the school's or district's vision and expectations for IBL. This will show your interest and enthusiasm for the position, and help you learn more about the culture and climate of the organization. You could ask about the support and resources that are available for IBL teachers, such as professional development, mentoring, or coaching. You could also ask about the challenges and opportunities that they face in implementing IBL, and how they measure and celebrate its impact on student learning and achievement. By asking questions, you will also be able to gauge how well you fit with the school's or district's philosophy and goals for IBL, and whether you share the same values and beliefs.

When communicating your commitment to professional growth and development at your school, a good way to do so is to mention relevant workshops or conferences you have attended that have strengthened your understanding and practice of inquiry-based learning. Most education systems are unable to keep up with the pace of industrial growth. As a global lecturer, I am an educator who wants to efficiently improve this education system and provide a better educational environment for students. I am developing a new curriculum and applying it through a global lecture program. At this time, what you need to check again is to understand the school's mission, vision, or philosophy and adjust the educational program and teaching method accordingly.
