I think organization culture also play important role here. For example, Some organization or even some functional department still have strong preferences over tabular type visualization... And some organization that prefer go to micro they also prefer tabular type of viz... This traits can not be changed in short term, we must continuously introduce the correct way of using dashboards to them

I assume you are talking about data visualization, not 3D visualizations. Plus, every chart type has a purpose. 3D is a graphical way of represent a concept. No a type of scatter plots, surface plots, volume plots, or maps. Extracted from "A practical guide to design with data". 3-D graphs: Among the worst offenders that add pixels which contribute noadditional value are 3-D charts. Several off-the-shelf applications can make 3-D graphs and charts automatically, but at a huge cost to the reader. The legibility of your information soon becomes obscured by all the extra baggage needed to make it three-dimensional. ... So be carefull with 3D graphs my dears.
