If you have room have two displays: One for the "best sellers" and one "themed". If at then end of year you can have a "highly rated" or "most purchased" items in your window next to the "Christmas display". Once Christmas is over you can change Christmas out for Valentines day, valentines day for St. Patrick's/Easter/Cinco de Mayo etc all while having the "best of" next to it.

When choosing the placement for your window displays there's a few non negotiable in my opinion: * Make sure your window box is clean and dust free - a thorough clean should be actioned between each merchandising change * Your product should look its best; eg: clothing steamed and correctly sized for mannequins, furniture polished, etc * Ensure lighting is working and not too intense for the VM display * Remember to go out and view your display from multiple positions to optimise the visual impact of your display for all passersby * Be sure to make the concept of your displays align with your target market - ie: there's no point in creating a winter wonderland display for your surfboards etc
Keep it simple and engaging, remembering it's the consumer's first interface. If you can captivate them through your storefront, weaving a story or igniting a dream even before they step inside the store, you have done your job!
