You definitely have to make sure that both of the source and destination hosts are configured correctly, part of the same domain, and running the same Hyper-V version. Make sure that you set up the Virtual Machine network to handle migration traffic efficiently and consider pre-staging virtual machine storage on the destination host to reduce migration time.
