Siempre debemos tener presente que las cosas no debemos llevarlas al plano personal, no engancharse en el enojo del otro, podemos tener malas actitudes, malos hábitos o simplemente malos días, pero para un enfrentamiento indeseable se necesita de dos. Identifica la percepción y sentimientos respecto al problema, y si esto se debe a falta información, trata de clarificar las percepciones erróneas, sus expectativa y así podrás ser empático. Valida sus sentimientos, hazle saber que pueden encontrar una solución viable entre ambos. Para este punto se habrá bajado la intensidad del encuentro, de lo contrario explica que prefieres retomar a la brevedad posible la reunión para recabar información, es un espacio para dejar enfriar los ánimos.

Why is the party aggressive?? do they have many alternatives and hence they can assert their conditions or they have nothing to loose and that is leading them to make the best out if the deal. Research about the client’s background, future prospects and stakes should be done but a lot of information can be revealed by asking questions and activity listening to the answers. Active conversations can bring everyone at ease and help serve the common interest leading to win win situation.

Majority of the times the aggressive party happens to be in a dominant position to negotiate. Hence be clear about the objective and make your views heard. The value proposition in a relationship will always work better than viewing costs associated.
