It’s a great way to make them feel included and make them feel as if they’re working towards the same vision as the leader, Scheduling time to have weekly or even monthly brainstorming sessions and then starting a little bit of accountability towards the shared goals works wonders and makes the team feel like they’re part of this one big thing and that really accelerates productivity and outcomes.

Staff will welcome the opportunity to share their ideas, opinions, etc. for the betterment of the organization. I've always believed that actions speak louder than words. Imagine if I spoke about our vision but acted contrary to it; it would be like a captain sailing in the opposite direction of his charted course. For our vision to be genuinely ingrained, I ensure it's reflected in my day-to-day actions and decisions. But it doesn't stop with me. I support, coach, and provide the staff with the resources they need. Just as a ripple can create waves, by living our vision, we can inspire everyone in our hospital community to do the same. Together, we're not just talking about change; we're being the change.
