In order to evaluate the success of your account management, you need to measure your progress against your KPIs and metrics you defined in the beginning. In my experience, you have your CRM configured to pull up reports on the metrics. If not, you have to have an analyst or do the analysis yourself. At first, you can track your metrics every month and notice trends. What is changing in a positive direction? What is changing in a negative direction? What does it mean and how can you evaluate your approaches based on the data? After that, you can maybe look at metrics every quarter. It is a continuous improvement and learning process. Your customers do not stay static, and approaches can't either. Make changes based on the results and data.
