Steer clear of utilizing technical or jargon terminology that recruiters might not understand. As an alternative to: Having developed and maintained software applications Say: Proficient in Python, Java, and C++ programming languages, with an emphasis on software development and maintenance. knowledge of NoSQL and SQL databases. As an alternative: Proficiency in cloud computing Say: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure, as well as expertise in setting up and overseeing cloud-based software.

One thing I've found helpful is to spell out terms and clarify your involvement with skills and technologies worked on. For example, using description such as "developed 10+ python automation scripts from scratch including developing needed APIs." Also, indicating proportion of time spent on different aspects of your job duties is very important. An example of this is: With ABC company I focused on Linux systems administration work, though I spent 25%+ of my time doing cloud administration with AWS.

Including for each job you've had the technical skills used is a great way to clarify how much and how recently you've worked using various skills and technologies. Give context to skills and technologies used - e.g., was lead devops engineer on 3 large automation projects. Functioned as "hands-on" engineer and helped organize tasks for other engineers on projects.
