Communication, coordination, and collaboration are three important Cs in every program. I am a firm believer in over communicating to ensure there are no gaps and stakeholders are aware of the state of the program at all points of time. To ensure the same, both pull- and push-based communication must be shared or made available to all stakeholders per their needs. There must be regular touch points to access the availability of desired information, and wants from cross-teams must be timely met.

Opt for uncomplicated and flexible risk management tools that seamlessly integrate with your current agile practices. Concentrate your attention on addressing high-impact risks, prioritizing efforts towards identifying and mitigating those that could have the most substantial effect on the program's success. Foster a culture of risk awareness within the program team by promoting open dialogue and regular discussion about potential risks. Consistently evaluate and enhance your risk management approach, regularly reviewing and updating processes based on program experience and evolving needs.

The world is not a perfect place to live and neither are the programs. We may have done all the homework, have great teams and stakeholders, established clear lines of communication, clear data metrics, and strong monitoring in place, but there will still be gaps that need to be bridged. The most efficient way to address gaps is first of all be able to identify them as soon as possible and secondly have an environment and culture in place to be able to openly accept those and address them via constant learning mechanisms.
