Improving your listening skills and ability is an art and it is a personal behavior tool that you gain either by cotching from childhood, training, or other ways. ? Looking at the person in front of you when he or she talking is vital for both of you, as you are showing respect, you are listening, and understanding the matter, for his or her is joy time, as the person in front respecting and listing to me and my matter. ? Let him or her finish the speech, express the matter, show them value and respect, ask related questions, and not hijack the speech. ? Your feedback must be positioned, even if your outcome will not be accepted by the other party, try to give it in steps manner, not to shack them.

In the business world, we tend to be very competitive. To be a good listener, you have to build the confidence that will allow you to allow others the time, space, and grace to get their best points across. Communication doesn’t always need to be an even “tennis match” of volleys. When you can find that inner strength that allows you to be self-assured; you do not need to have the last and best word (or volley). Build your confidence to win wonderful alignment, true understanding, and mutual respect = truly win.
