In my experience, I have encounter some issues as user in looking for a job online. Everytime I want to apply for a job, I need to signup to the company website. Imagine if there are 70 companies that doing something like this, I need to signup 70 times. My private information is being public just like that. I wish there is a system that I could signup for once and won't be directed to other company websites just to signup and apply for the job.

Then the flow isn't usable, period.

What it boils down to is what and how you want users to search. For example, do you want them to search for tags, keywords, images, or all? Let's take, for example, LinkedIn, what are people usually searching for? Names, Companies, hashtags, or these days we are hiring posts. LinkedIn would have tested this, as you know once you search for something, say 'Snoop Dog', everything related to Snoop comes up. So what did LinkedIn do, add in filters, groups, people, posts, etc. All of this would have been tested, with usability testing, to see whether user actions or behaviours align with the assumptions that are made.

Doing a content audit and tying that to your user personas could give you a better idea of how users want to search your site and inform a good information architecture. From there, knowing your user's wants and needs can give you a good idea of what they would want to search and when, which can inform the set of metrics you can base your usability testing on for a more holistic view.
