How can you improve quality and quantity in your production output?

Analyze your current production processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Streamline workflows and eliminate unnecessary steps. Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Use process automation and robotics where applicable to speed up production.

Focus on reduction of NVA. Aligned JPH according to demand. Last but important I do I check, make it habbit and part of SOP for team members.Define CTQ station and implement mistake proofing/deskilling where ever possible. Allocate responsibility and Authority to operators to raise alarms for any abnormalities. It is a continual process. As a leader we need to visit frequently every station and add value to make things simple and effective.

Follow Back to Basic.. CLRI / PDCA /Cycle Time improvement/ Gamba / Kizen / Poka yoka.. More important is Mindset of continuous improvement..

In my experience the contributions of Black Belts and data analysts have been so valuable to helping process engineering identify on a more global scale where process control problems might lie. By the Black Belts contributing the right type of Six Sigma analyses from the manufacturing data analysts we were able to know where to look deeper into our production processes and use other tools such as pivot charts and Pareto charts to look deeper within individual processes for process analysis and improve performance through use of chemical engineering principles and great teamwork. I am so thankful to have worked with Six Sigma Black Belts , manufacturing data analysts, programmers, maintenance, and engineering professionals

To improve the quantity output of a production system, you have to focus on your capacity utilization and the factors that are limiting it. Such as unnecessary delays, changeovers, minor stoppages, and major breakdowns. This is a macro level. On the micro level, you have to think about all the non-value-adding activities that should be eliminated to achieve the highest performance of any system. For quality improvement, only one thing that matters the most is "variation". If you are able to minimize variance in all degrees such as from raw material properties to process controls till the packaging, then you can definitely achieve the desired quality.

Invest in modern manufacturing technologies like IoT sensors, data analytics, and AI for predictive maintenance. Upgrade equipment and machinery to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Implement an integrated production management system to track and optimize production in real-time.

Technology (online monitoring of parameters) help us work more efficiently and help us focus on the specific points where human decision matters the most

Invest in employee training to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and involve employees in problem-solving. Provide clear expectations and performance metrics to motivate workers.

I would put this as top priority. People first, others second. We need people to have the 2 Qs. Production equipment and machineries operated/maintained by people. Quality assured and ensured by people.

For quality perspective, put up a quality triangle. Treat quality similar to safety. In safety, fatality is on the top of triangle. In quality, customer complaint is on top of the triangle. Loss Time Injuries are off-spec batches. Safety near missed = quality near missed. Safe and unsafe behaviour / act = quality and non quality behavior / act. So on and so forth. We will be surprised, Quality results will be as good as Safety results.
