Set up practice scenarios, and allow potential collaborators to describe how they’d approach/sort the said scenario. Expand the idea of “training” and “interviewing”. Like student tests in grade schools, solving word problems can outline their understanding. Ask more open-ended questions, that don’t necessarily have a ‘right’ answer. Those can often times display characteristics beyond a resume. Creative interviews may reveal creative candidates/approaches.
