Future leaders are not necessarily the ones with the most experience, qualifications, or loudest voices; they are those who show leadership qualities and behaviors. Examples of such include having initiative to take action and solve problems, having a vision to contribute to team and organizational goals, communicating clearly and adapting style to different audiences, collaborating well with others and leveraging team strengths, and learning from mistakes and seeking feedback. To observe these qualities and behaviors in your team members, pay attention to how they interact with you, their peers, clients, and other stakeholders. Additionally, ask them to share their achievements, challenges, and aspirations with you on a regular basis.
