In a few instances, I've gotten private lists of after parties that were crucial to making the right connections. Once you meet a few important people, you can guarantee your way into future private events or a spot at a limited meetup. It's a momentum that builds.

Keep track where your peers and top voices are attending events. Another good idea would be to follow events of professional associations of your interest. Their content will be relevant to what you seek.

I look at this as a positive snowball effect. Once you mindfully start attending the right events and networking with people, you start connecting with more and more such people and finding out about new events. In the end, ensure you are building relationships because this industry still primarily work on word of mouth and relations.

Mostly you will see that someone will automatically ask you to introduce yourself. You can also add value to the topic being discussed with your examples.
