When I realized that at times of distraction I can sound irritated to my clients because I am focused on something and they aren't listening to me day I need to get back to them because I'm in the middle of something. I've learned from my mentor to take a break. Find a pin to track where I was and fully engage in their conversation to assist then calmly answer their question. Once in done I'm able to go back to what I was doing. Consulting is more about healthy dialogue and decisions. Once you can intentionally hear you can effectively serve.
